1 Manager Project Manager

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has a requirement for one (1) ICT Project Manager to oversee the delivery of projects within the department's CapSTAR Stream 7 ICT Fit Out program, under the direction of the ICT Property section within the ICT Services Division (ISD).

About

ISD is responsible for the management and delivery of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) functions and activities across Australia for the department. The division supports a secure, modern ICT environment so that the department can conduct its business 24/7 and focus on achieving departmental outcomes.

The department is running a large capital refresh program (CapSTAR) to sustain and refresh its essential ICT and property assets and ensure critical business systems are supported, patched and resilient. This is achieved through implementing solutions that enhance cyber security, consolidate and standardise the environment, and improve stability, resiliency and functionality for departmental staff.

Purpose

CapSTAR Stream 7 ICT Fit Out aims to remediate the department's critical ICT property assets and reduce operational risk by uplifting the ICT fit out at DAFF sites across Australia.

The Role

An ICT Project Manager is required to lead ICT Fit Out projects within the program, under the direction of the ICT Property section. The scope of ICT Fit Out includes but is not limited to:

• Audio-visual (AV) equipment refresh in training rooms, meeting rooms and offices
• Review and remediation of existing AV platform
• Remote site internet connection uplift, resilience and redundancy upgrades
• End user compute and desktop equipment refresh and relocation
• Site communications rooms, network equipment, structured cabling and WiFi upgrades
• Overarching process improvements

The workstream also coordinates with other CapSTAR streams such as ICT Infrastructure and Property Capital Works.
