Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
The Infrastructure Engineering Expert - Windows Operating System takes operational ownership of all infrastructure provisioning such as network, desktop, server, and all other hardware as well as procedures for backup, restore and storage. Their key function is to design, build and support a modern Win SOE, incorporating all the latest deployment and security technology, data centre, mainframe, midrange, server and network infrastructure capabilities both in-house and in a shared service arrangement.
They are responsible for recommendations, evaluations and deployment of hardware, hardware related software and other related assets, and for the support of infrastructure related incidents and problems. They resolve more complex infrastructure related incidents and problems.
