Oak Street Andergrove Pavement Restoration and SWD Rehab

1. INTRODUCTION

Mackay Regional Council (the Principal) invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors for the delivery of civil infrastructure works at Oak Street, Andergrove, between Campbell Street and Andergrove Road.

The Works comprise pavement restoration and stormwater drainage rehabilitation and include demolition and reconstruction of kerb and channel, drainage upgrades, footpath and driveway works, pavement construction, asphalt surfacing, line marking, and all associated activities, as described in Part 5 – Scope of Works.

The work under the Contract will be undertaken in an active urban environment with adjacent residential and commercial properties, including an aged care facility. Traffic management, stakeholder liaison, safety, and access management will be critical elements of the work under the Contract.

2. NATURE OF CONTRACT

The Contract will be a Schedule of Rates (re-measurable) contract administered in accordance with the General Conditions of Contract (AS 2124), including lump sum and measured items as set out in the Schedule of Rates.

All rates and quantities are to be checked by Tenderer. Any discrepancies shall be advised to the Principal during the tender advertising process (refer to Part 2 [2.] for how to lodge questions).

LOCATION OF THE WORKS

The Site is located at:

(a) Oak Street, Andergrove, Mackay; and

(b) Between Campbell Street and Andergrove Road

The extent of the Works is shown on the Drawings included in Annexure A of the Scope of Works.

TIMING

The Principal anticipates that the Contract will commence in July 2026, subject to award, approvals, and completion of pre-construction requirements.

The Date for Practical Completion is 31 October 2026 or 26 weeks from Letter of Acceptance.

Tenderers must allow for night works for asphalt surfacing and working hours Monday to Saturday. Tenderers must provide a detailed Construction Program in accordance with the Contract.
