Overview
The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is seeking an experienced AI and Innovation Capability Partner to work alongside GRDC's CIO/CDO to develop the GRDC AI Strategy 2027–29.
Purpose
The GRDC AI Strategy 2027–29 will be an addendum to, and child strategy of, the IDT Strategy 2027–29. It will treat artificial intelligence as a capability embedded across GRDC's people, skills, behaviours, data, assurance and technology domains.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Provision of a small senior team, approximately 1.5–2.0 full-time equivalent personnel, from 7 October 2026 to 7 January 2027
- Consultation with GRDC executives, General Managers, function leads, governance committees and staff
- Development of the AI Strategy and AI transparency statement
- Preparation of a three-year capability maturity action plan and detailed year-one work plan
- Support for Executive Committee consideration and endorsement
- Publication support
- Structured handover to GRDC
Contract Terms and Conditions
- The engagement will be outcomes based and fixed price
- Payment will be linked to four buyer-defined milestones covering consultation and alignment, preparation of the strategy and plans, endorsement and publication, and final handover
Contractor Requirements
- Experienced AI and Innovation Capability Partner
- Must work within GRDC-managed systems
- Must comply with GRDC's security, privacy, confidentiality and responsible AI requirements
