Overview
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer with Tricentis Tosca and Playwright experience to support testing of export clearance software.
The Role
The role includes:
- Designing and executing automated tests against export clearance software to assess functional and nonfunctional properties
- Identifying defects and regression issues introduced with new features, commodity migration, and sustainment activities including defect fixes, patches, and software upgrades
- Developing automated test cases and associated datasets
- Integrating tests into Azure DevOps pipelines
- Working with the relevant product delivery teams to execute test pipelines and analyse test reports
- Recording and investigating defects for failed scenarios
- Working closely with members of the product delivery team and, where required, subject matter experts to understand product requirements
Role Requirements
- 5+ years' overall test automation experience using industry standard test automation tools
- At least 6 months' experience in test automation using the Tricentis Tosca and Playwright test automation platforms
- Experience with other platforms including (but not limited to) soap-ui, PowerShell, and Postman
- Strong in-depth knowledge of software and test design
- Capability to develop test cases and test datasets using the technical toolsets provided
- Ability to analyse, record, and progress test results in Azure DevOps
- Results-driven approach with good communication skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of software programming and software test design practices
