Request for Quote: Fuel Hazard Reduction, Firebreak & Paddock Slashing Panel

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes is establishing a panel of approved contractors to carry out fuel hazard reduction, firebreak, and paddock slashing works on properties that do not meet the requirements of the Firebreak and Fuel Hazard Reduction Notice. Interested contractors are invited to review the attached Request for Quote (RFQ) and submit a response to join the panel.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Fuel hazard reduction works on non-compliant properties
• Firebreak works on non-compliant properties
• Paddock slashing works on non-compliant properties

Contractors may nominate the work types that suit their setup and are not required to take on both firebreaks and fuel hazard reduction if only one applies to their business.

Contractor Requirements

• Provision of hourly rates for the specific plant the contractor intends to use
• Completion of a New Creditor Form to register as a supplier in the Shire's finance system, to enable prompt processing of the first invoice

Contract Terms and Conditions

• Acceptance onto the panel does not commit contractors to any minimum amount of work
• When jobs arise, panel members will be contacted with the details and may accept or decline based on current availability
• Expected First Work Orders: December 2026 to January 2027

Instructions to Tenderers

The application process involves the following steps:

• Download and read the Request for Quote Document (PDF) attached to the opportunity
• Complete the Submission Form and review the attached Submission Checklist to ensure all required items are included
• Complete the New Creditor Form
• Submit the completed response following the instructions outlined in the RFQ

The RFQ is a brief three-page document accompanied by a one-page submission form.
