Provision of Public Convenience & Facilities Cleaning

Northern Grampians Shire Council is seeking a contractor to provide public convenience and facilities cleaning services, including the scheduled cleaning of Council offices, administration buildings and other nominated facilities throughout the Shire.

About

Northern Grampians Shire is located in western Victoria and covers approximately 5,728 square kilometres. The municipality includes Stawell, St Arnaud, Halls Gap, Great Western, Marnoo, Navarre and numerous smaller communities.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Scheduled cleaning of Council offices, administration buildings and other nominated facilities
• Hygienic cleaning, servicing and replenishment of Council's public conveniences and facility toilets throughout Northern Grampians Shire
• Delivery of services in accordance with the locations, service frequencies, permitted cleaning windows and indicative service durations identified in Schedules 1 and 2
• Completion of all applicable core hygiene, safety and presentation requirements at every attendance
• Undertaking remaining routine cleaning activities according to priorities identified through Council's QR code-based online Facility Cleaning Checklist, which applies at every facility covered by the Contract and forms the controlling record of the work required and completed
• Responding to any obvious urgent hygiene or safety issue identified during an attendance
• Managing non-core activities progressively and on an appropriate rotational basis so that the required overall standard of each facility is maintained
• Undertaking additional, deep or spring-cleaning services identified in Schedules 3 and 4, when separately requested and authorised by Council

Council may change the priority of routine activities to respond to facility usage, seasonal conditions, events, complaints or identified cleaning needs, provided such changes remain within the routine cleaning scope and the reasonably achievable workload for the scheduled attendance.

Contractor Requirements

• All services must be carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with accepted Australian cleaning industry practices and the Specification

Contract Terms and Conditions

• Additional, deep or spring-cleaning services must only be undertaken following written authorisation from Council and will be paid at the applicable contracted schedule of rates
