Agistment of Lot 77 CP860482, Gregory Highway Capella

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking tenders for the temporary land use for the purpose of agistment of livestock on Lot 77 on Crown Plan 860482, Gregory Highway, Capella. The agistment will be for a period of three (3) years.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Temporary agistment of livestock on Lot 77 on Crown Plan 860482 for a period of three (3) years
• Agistment limited to approximately 53 head of cattle or 35 horses at any one time, based on the property area of approximately 215 hectares (531 acres) and the adopted stocking rates of 1 head per 10 acres for cattle and 1 head per 15 acres for horses
• No other livestock types will be considered

Contract Terms and Conditions

• The licence fee will be determined by the submission of the Respondent
• Council will consider the fee amount provided by the Respondent in line with the Local Government Act 2009 and the sound contracting principles outlined in section 104 of the Act

Contractor Requirements

• The applicant must provide water for livestock as part of any licence, as the land does not contain dams
• Fencing is provided "as is"; it is the Tenderer's responsibility to ensure boundary and internal fences are adequate before allowing livestock to graze on the land

Biosecurity Act 2004 and Associated Subordinate Legislation

• It is the Licensee's responsibility to ensure that all livestock movement requirements are met, including ensuring the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) is updated to reflect the movement of stock on and off the property, with verification provided to council by email at enquiries@chrc.qld.gov.au, Attention: Property Services
• The Licensee must ensure that any movement records, such as a National Vendor Declaration (NVD), are kept for stock moving on or off the land, with a copy of the record provided to council by email at enquiries@chrc.qld.gov.au, Attention: Property Services

Property Identification Code (PIC)

• The property has been issued with a PIC, and it is the sole responsibility of the Licensee to ensure they are registered with Biosecurity Queensland as a Registered Business Entity (RBE)
• The Licensee must also ensure that, if a Biosecurity Plan is required for livestock on the land, it is drafted and implemented, with a copy of the record provided to council by email at enquiries@chrc.qld.gov.au, Attention: Property Services

• Site: Lot 77 on Crown Plan 860482, Gregory Highway, Capella, located on the southern side of Capella, approximately 215.46 hectares, accessed via Naumanns Road
