Tender Description

Overview

Veterans SA is seeking to engage a suitably qualified supplier, or collaborative partnership of suppliers, with demonstrated industry reach, stakeholder influence and an understanding of the veteran community, to design and deliver the Veterans in Industry: Readiness and Integration Initiative, for up to three years, as part of Veterans SA's Industry Integration and Partnerships initiative.

Purpose

The initiative aims to strengthen connections between South Australian veterans, their partners and children and sustainable pathways into employment, education, volunteering and community participation. It will do this by mobilising employers, industry bodies, training providers and government stakeholders to improve awareness of veteran capabilities, strengthen workforce participation opportunities and build employer confidence and cultural competence in engaging and supporting veterans and their families.

Objectives

  • Connect South Australian veterans, their partners and children to sustainable pathways into employment, education and volunteering by mobilising high-demand industries, including AUKUS-linked sectors
  • Build organisational and sector-wide capability by improving veteran and veteran-family cultural competence among employers, supporting better recruitment, onboarding, retention, wellbeing and career progression outcomes
  • Position South Australia as a national leader in veteran workforce support and industry engagement

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Design and delivery of the Veterans in Industry: Readiness and Integration Initiative for up to three years
  • Establishing and facilitating a collaborative mechanism through which member organisations, industry representatives, training providers and relevant stakeholders can contribute to sector-level insights, policy development and strategic workforce planning
  • Active collaboration with existing veteran-focused programs and services, including relevant education, employment, training and community organisations, to ensure available support is coordinated, leveraged effectively and contributes to improved sector capability and outcomes for South Australian veterans and their families

Contractor Requirements

  • Demonstrated industry reach, stakeholder influence and an understanding of the veteran community
  • Ability to engage and influence industry stakeholders
  • Practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with veteran transition, employment and social participation outcomes
  • Capabilities may be demonstrated through the respondent's own organisational experience or through a consortium, partnership or collaborative delivery model
