Overview
The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking tenders for exterior carpentry and weathertightness remediation works affecting Blocks C and K at Wadestown School, as part of the school's property improvement programme.
About
The original 10YPP (10 Year Property Plan) project identified localised deterioration to timber cladding and joinery at the school, including decayed components and issues associated with existing window installations. In Block K, previously retrofitted double-glazed windows were specifically identified as leaking and requiring remediation.
Scope
The current tender documentation develops the identified requirements into detailed replacement and remedial works for Blocks C and K. The scope includes:
- Replacement and remedial works to timber cladding and joinery affected by deterioration
- Remediation of decayed components identified in Blocks C and K
- Remedial works associated with existing window installations
- Remediation of previously retrofitted double-glazed windows in Block K, including improved head flashings
- Sash adjustment to affected windows in Block K
- Replacement of deteriorated glazing putty in Block K
