Overview
The Ministry of Education (NZ) is seeking a main building contractor for works at Freyberg School, comprising hall floor replacement and stage remediation.
Scope
The contract works relate to the main hall, including the entrance, stage, and stairs. The existing flooring to the main hall/gym floor is in poor condition, comprising cold and hard concrete with old vinyl covering. The stage is small and has a stage extension in poor condition.
The scope includes:
- Supply, preparation, and installation of new multi-use flooring to the main hall/gym, including encapsulation coating
- Supply, preparation, and installation of entrance matting to the entrance way
- Investigation of the stage flooring and extension
- Supply, preparation, and installation of new, quality wood flooring over the stage
- Supply and installation of new carpet tiles over the new wood flooring to the stage, including carpet over the stairs and new stair nosings
