RFP - Supply of Commercial Smart Meters

Watercare Services Limited is seeking Participants capable of supplying commercial smart meters as part of its ongoing water efficiency programme.

About

As part of its ongoing commitment to water efficiency, Watercare is expanding the rollout of smart meters to both residential and commercial customers, with the aim of reaching as many customers as possible to help them better understand and manage their water use. Since 2022, Watercare has installed more than 90,000 smart meters, making this one of the largest deployments of its kind in Australasia.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of approximately 900 large diameter meters ranging from 50mm to 300mm
• Meters to be either Ultrasonic or Electromagnetic (Solid State Electronic flow meters)
• Meters to include built in datalogging capability
• Meters to communicate over Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT), Cat M1 or LTE low-power wide-area networks (LPWAN cellular)
• Delivery of the meters over the next 2 years
