The Cleaning of Gross Pollutant Traps Water Pumping Stations & Side Entry Pits

The City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters is seeking a contractor to undertake the cleaning of Side Entry Pits (SEPs), Gross Pollutant Traps (GPTs) and Water Pumping Stations (WPSs) as part of its annual preventative maintenance program.

About

Each year, the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters undertakes a comprehensive cleaning program for Side Entry Pits, Gross Pollutant Traps and Water Pumping Stations as a preventative maintenance measure.

Purpose

The purpose of this program is to remove accumulated sediment, litter and debris from the stormwater network, reducing the risk of blockages, localised flooding and pollutants entering downstream waterways.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Inspection, cleaning and removal of all waste, sediment, debris and associated material from Side Entry Pits (SEPs), Water Pumping Stations (WPSs) and Gross Pollutant Traps (GPTs) located throughout the City
• Transport of all material removed during the works from site and disposal at an appropriately licensed waste facility
