Overview
Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council is seeking a supplier to design and construct an upgrade of the lighting at the Bamaga Football Oval to Queensland Rugby League Seniors standard (200 Lux).
Scope
The scope includes:
- Upgrade of the lighting at Bamaga Football Oval to Queensland Rugby League Seniors standard (200 Lux)
- Design and construction of the lighting solution, with NPARC willing to evaluate multiple proposed options from each supplier to achieve the 200 Lux standard at the lowest lifecycle cost
- Replacement of the existing lighting poles, preferably with poles that can be lowered for maintenance
- Automatic and remote control of the lights, which is desirable
Contract Terms and Conditions
- The lights must be installed prior to the start of the 2027 football season, approximately 1 June 2027
- The wet season, from December to April each year, makes travel and construction works difficult and should be factored into scheduling
