Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Overview

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (SA) is seeking a provider to deliver rail safety worker health assessments on behalf of the Rail Commissioner.

Purpose

The Rail Commissioner is required to comply with the Rail Safety National Law (South Australia) Act 2012 (RSNL) and to maintain Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) accreditation to operate the rail network.

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Establishing a health and fitness program, including the assessment of rail safety workers' health and fitness to operate safely on the network
  • Providing a system that securely stores all health assessment documents, as part of a rail safety worker health assessment program complying with the National Standard for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers 2024 (the Standard)
  • Providing a fully integrated multi-disciplinary approach to prevention, injury management and health promotion
