Overview
The City of Playford invites suitably qualified and experienced structural engineering consultants to submit a tender for the provision of Level 2 Bridge and Culvert Inspection Services.
About
Council currently manages approximately 237 bridge structures, comprising 4 road bridges, 166 major culverts and 67 footbridges.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Physical inspections and condition assessments of Council's bridge assets, including road bridges, major culverts and footbridges
- Condition reporting
- Defect identification
- Remediation recommendations
- Cost estimates
- Photographic records
- Provision of inspection data in electronic format
The arrangement will operate as a standing offer, with individual inspection programs issued by Purchase Order as required. No minimum volume of work is guaranteed.
Contractor Requirements
- Suitably qualified and experienced structural engineering consultant
- Inspections must be undertaken in accordance with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) Road Structures Inspection Manual (RSIM)
Contract Terms and Conditions
- Initial contract term of four (4) years
- Two (2) optional extension periods of two (2) years each
- Standing offer arrangement with individual inspection programs issued by Purchase Order as required
- No minimum volume of work is guaranteed
