Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Overview

Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) is seeking to identify a Main Contractor to provide construction services to build a purpose-built facility comprising Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and dedicated Endoscopy suites at Wairarapa Hospital, Te Ore Ore Road, Masterton.

Scope

The scope includes:

  • Delivery of the Stage 1 enabling (ground preparation) works
  • Provision of early advice to the Stage 2 Contract Works under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approach
  • Delivery of the Stage 2 Contract Works, including designing the building services and seismic restraint of non-structural elements

Contractor Requirements

  • A proven track record in ECI and Design & Build delivery methods
  • Experience managing relevant works within similarly complex, operational environments
  • Ability to bring together and manage a team of skilled, competent and experienced key personnel and subcontractors for the duration of the contract works
  • Relevant experience in live clinical facility upgrades and hospital construction standards for all key personnel and subcontractors
  • Capability and capacity to achieve delivery timelines, and to bring design innovation and potential long-term savings and efficiencies to the Contract Works
