HVAC Maintenance and Repairs On-Site

⁠⁠⁠Scope of Work

(a) The Company requires the provision of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and process cooling services (henceforth referred to as HVAC) across Site to ensure all systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. 

(b) The Company seeks to establish a service arrangement with a Contractor who will take responsibility for:

i. Routine servicing and preventative maintenance

ii. Breakdown response and fault rectification

iii. Repair and replacement activities

iv. Refrigerant management, including supply, handling, management, and compliance

v. Overall lifecycle upkeep and performance of HVAC systems 

1.4 Asset Introduction 

(a) This Scope applies to all Site systems, including but not limited to:

i. 2.7kW to 6kW RAC’s

ii. 2.5kW to 14kW Split systems

iii. 45kW to 113kW Building Package air conditioners

iv. Ice machines

v. Water coolers

vi. Water chillers

vii. Air dryers

viii. Control systems, instrumentation, and thermostats associated with HVAC systems

(b) These systems are distributed across operational buildings, plant facilities, workshops, and offices throughout the Site.

(c) The HVAC maintenance strategy comprises a combination of:

i. Planned preventative maintenance including regular servicing and inspections

ii. Reactive/Corrective maintenance 

(d) The intent of the contract is to form a long-term agreement with a single contractor to achieve high and continuously improving reliability outcomes across the site.

This scope of work is a summary description of goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto and may be subject to change in Rio Tinto’s absolute discretion.

 As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
