Electronic Security Systems- Maintenance, Support and Upgrade Services
Tender ID: 617557
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Port of Townsville is a critical piece of Queensland and Northern Australia’s trade, logistics, and supply chain infrastructure, operating within a geographically dispersed and operationally complex environment. The Port relies on a robust and integrated electronic security network to support safe operations, protect critical assets, manage access control, and meet regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
POTL’s existing security environment includes CCTV systems, video management platforms, access control systems, vehicle gates, and supporting network and power infrastructure installed across operational, leased, and third-party managed areas. Given the scale, diversity, and criticality of these systems, specialist technical support is required to ensure reliability, availability, and alignment with best practice.
This procurement seeks to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to provide consistent, proactive, and responsive support for these systems. The arrangement is intended to move beyond purely reactive maintenance and instead deliver structured preventative maintenance, regular system review, software currency, and expert advice to support continuous improvement and future planning.
The Contract also supports POTL’s broader operational objectives, including safety, security, resilience, and operational continuity, while enabling internal teams to focus on core responsibilities. By establishing clear demarcation of responsibilities and defined service expectations, POTL aims to strengthen asset performance, reduce unplanned outages, and ensure that electronic security systems continue to meet current and future operational demands.
