Tender Description
Council (the Principal) is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced construction companies, organisations or individuals to provide construction services.
Project goals
Hawkesbury City Council invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit a Tender for the construction of the North Richmond Community Precinct Stage 1 – North Richmond Emergency Evacuation Centre (NREEC) and Youth Hall Upgrade.
The Works comprise the refurbishment and upgrade of the existing Youth Hall to deliver a new community facility that will also operate as a multipurpose emergency evacuation centre in times of need. The Works include associated external works, services and landscaping as detailed in the Contract Documents.
The Principal seeks a Contractor with demonstrated experience in the delivery of community facilities and public infrastructure projects of a similar scale and complexity, including experience delivering works adjacent to operational facilities.
Scope
The scope includes, but is not limited to:
- Project management, stakeholder coordination, reporting, programming, disruption management and contract administration activities in accordance with the requirements of Section B – Conditions of Contract.
- Site establishment, preliminaries, temporary works, environmental controls and site management;
- Demolition and removal works identified within the Contract Documents;
- Refurbishment, alteration and extension of the existing Youth Centre building;
- Structural strengthening works required to achieve Importance Level 4 (IL4) classification;
- Building works associated with the creation of a dual-purpose Youth Centre and Emergency Evacuation Centre;
- Civil works, drainage works and associated external works;
- Hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, communications, security and fire services works;
- Utility authority coordination, approvals and service connections;
- Landscaping, site reinstatement and make-good works;
- Testing, commissioning and performance verification of all building systems and services;
- Provision of all required certifications, approvals, warranties and statutory documentation;
- Completion of asset handover requirements in accordance with Attachment G – Asset Handover Requirements;
- Defects rectification during the Defects Liability Period; and
- All works necessary to achieve Practical Completion in accordance with the Contract.
