Tender Description
Alpine Shire Council requests tenders from suppliers for the provision of a Backhoe Loader with an Extendable/Telescopic Backhoe and an operating weight between 7.5-10t (approx.).
Alpine Shire Council is willing to consider offers for either used or new excavators within the nominated weight range, provided they are low hours (<3000 hours) less than 5 years old and very good operating condition.
Alpine Shire Council require this unit for general use predominantly at our Porepunkah Waste Transfer Station, The additional reach from the extendable hoe is to reach from an elevated platform into skip bins, to compress or manoeuvre waste.
Units offered for consideration are expected to have a 4in1 shovel on the front and a basic bucket set for use with the hoe (mud bucket, and 2-3 toothed buckets). Additionally, a flip over fork arrangement behind the 4in1 would be desirable.
Whilst not part of this tender, if the unit can be supplied with a hydraulic grab on the rear arm an optional cost for that will be considered. Units with a weight outside of (but close to) the requested parameters, or units that are setup differently to what is described above, will be considered upon discussion with the Plant and Fleet Coordinator.
