1 Senior Medical Systems ICT Service Operations Officer

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), as part of the Polar Medicine Support Team within the ICT Networks & Infrastructure Section, is seeking a Senior ICT Clinical Systems Administrator / Medical Systems Integrator (EL1 equivalent) to support the Australian Antarctic Division’s (AAD) critical medical operating environment.

The role is responsible for ensuring that the devices, applications, and software systems supporting Polar Medicine operations are effectively integrated and maintained to enable the delivery of secure and reliable 24/7 clinical and telemedical services across the AAD’s operational environments.

This includes support for the AAD Kingston, Tasmania headquarters, Australia’s Antarctic and sub-Antarctic stations, remote mobile medical facilities, and Antarctic research and resupply vessels.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Polar Medicine ICT Support Team Leader, the Medical Systems Support Officer, and members of the ICT Infrastructure Services team.

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams, the resource will provide specialised Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Digital Health support across medical systems integration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational support environments. The role will contribute to ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of digital health and medical ICT services supporting AAD operations.

Please note: This role is based in Tasmania and onsite attendance is preferred.
