Project details

In April 2026, the Victorian Government announced the $305 million redevelopment of Dandenong Hospital. The project will deliver 9 new operating theatres, a new Intensive Care Unit with 16 beds and an upgraded day surgery admissions space. Dandenong Hospital is one of the busiest hospitals in the state, and redevelopment will expand bed capacity and support better and faster surgical care.

This tender relates to the appointment of an Architect as Lead Consultant, reflecting the nature of the works and brownfield redevelopment context.

Provision of Services/Scope of Works

The Lead Consultant will be required to coordinate and manage all design disciplines across all phases of the project, including:

• Phase 2: Feasibility Study Refresh and Functional Brief

• Phase 3: Schematic Design

• Phase 4: Design Development

• Phase 5: Contract Documentation

• Phase 6: Tender Evaluation, Contract Award, Contract Administration and Commissioning

• Phase 7: Defects Liability Period.

The Lead Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the design is aligned with approved scope, budget and program, as well as acting as the single point of accountability for delivering the scope for each discipline including but not limited to:

• Architecture
• Clinical Health Planning
•  Services Engineering
