Mechanical Services

⁠⁠⁠Scope of Work

• Rio Tinto is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers for the provision of mechanical services at Yarwun and BSL sites for shutdowns and major maintenance.
• Provision of qualified welding personnel to perform a variety of welding services.
• Verification and use of appropriate welding consumables for each application.
• Execution of fabrication, grinding, cutting, heating, and welding tasks as required.
• Confirmation of material types and quantities, and ongoing monitoring of inventory levels.
• Provision of qualified mechanical personnel to perform mechanical services, including maintenance and repairs.
• Support for ramp down and ramp up activities, including isolations and de-isolations.
• Conducting inspections, maintenance, repairs, replacements, and calibrations on a range of equipment.
• Provision of qualified rigging personnel to perform rigging services, including crane and Franna rigging, spotter assistance, and equipment installation/removal.
• Delivery of specialised welding services (including alloy, pressure, and plastics)
• Inspection and certification of welding services in line with site standards
• Provision of mechanical trades labour (including, but not limited to, fitters and boilermakers) for the installation and maintenance of pipes, tanks, and process equipment.
• Provision of semi-skilled labour, such as trade assistants, to support the delivery of services.

It is recommended that Suppliers review the portal business details section to ensure all information, including contact email address, annual turnover and employee numbers, is current and accurate.

 As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
