CON-EXP-350 Bulk Earthworks and Underground Services - Covalent Lithium Expansion Project

⁠⁠⁠PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Covalent Lithium is undertaking a major expansion of the Mt Holland Concentrator from ~2 Mtpa to ~4 Mtpa throughput capacity. The expansion works are predominantly greenfield construction located adjacent to the existing processing plant within an active mining environment, approximately 105 km south-southeast of Southern Cross in Western Australia. 

PACKAGE DESCRIPTION:

Covalent Lithium invites expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably experienced contractors to perform the Bulk Earthworks and Underground Services package (Package CON-EXP-350) for the Mt Holland Concentrator Expansion Project. The scope includes bulk earthworks (cut, fill, compaction and fine grading), road construction, rock excavation, process water pond construction including HDPE liner, buried services (piping, HV cabling, conduits), stormwater drainage, and associated site infrastructure. Indicative total earthworks volumes are in the order of 300,000+ m³. The contract will be a construct-only, remeasurable Schedule of Rates with lump sum preliminaries.

The site is FIFO from Perth.

SPECIFIC SCOPE REQUIREMENTS:

The scope includes:

Clearing, grubbing and topsoil stripping; bulk earthworks for process and non-process infrastructure pads; Southern Bypass Road, LV ring roads, access roads and parking areas; rock excavation (rippable and non-rippable); screening and selective winning of stockpile materials;

Process Water Pond construction including HDPE liner installation; buried services (HDPE piping, direct buried HV cabling, conduits, pits and service cross-overs); stormwater drainage and site-wide drainage infrastructure; foundation and service trench pre-excavation for follow-on trades; fencing and demarcation; hydrostatic testing and pipe flushing; survey and as-built documentation.

The Works are structured as four Separable Portions. An optional scope item (Tailings Booster Station and TSF Corridor earthworks) may be included as a contract option. Company-supplied borrow pit materials, fuel, construction water, and free-issue pipe and cable. Company-provided FIFO flights, accommodation and messing at Mt Holland Village.
