Christmas Decorations In Activity Precincts (Inclusive Of Installation, Dismantlement, Maintenance and Transportation)

⁠⁠⁠Bayside City Council has a requirement for the installation, dismantlement, maintenance and transportation of Christmas decorations within the municipality

Scope

Key objectives of the project/requirement that the procurement is to satisfy include:

Council’s Christmas decorations including:

• Transporting them from a nominated Council site to the location

• ensuring they are of a high visual standard

• ensuring all are in a working state prior to installation

• installing the specified items in the identified locations in the municipality

• maintaining them whilst installed

• dismantling them, retrieving them

• making good any area they were installed

• delivering them to provided storage on a nominated Council site.

The Contractor is not required to do or provide:

• The actual decorations used to decorate the identified locations in the municipality

Background

Bayside City Council facilitates a Christmas decoration program in order to support local businesses and the community by revitalising and enlivening local activity precincts during the festive trading season.

Council currently has:

55 trees:

• 2 x 5/6m
• 5 x 3.6/4m
• 12 x 2.4m
• 36 x 1.8m

85 wreaths:

• 1 x 2000mm
• 1 x 12000mm
• 22 x 900mm
• 21 x 900mm (double sided)
• 12 x 600mm
• 28 x 600mm (double sided)

7 display pieces:

• 6 x nutcrackers
• 1 x star

To be installed in Activity centres determined by Council. As at 2026 this should be approximately 10 centres across the municipality.
