Piling Works for Rosewood Marburg Road Embankment Restoration Works

⁠⁠⁠RoadTek are undertaking Piling Works for Rosewood Marburg Road Embankment Restoration Works, which is located Rosewood Marburg Road. To support this project's delivery, we are seeking offers from suitably capable suppliers to complete piling works.

The southern batter of the embankment along slipped early in 2024 and has resulted in one eastbound traffic lane being permanently closed since that failure. The failure sits on the boundary of State Road Corridor and the council owned waste facility.

The currently proposed restoration works involve a series of cast in-situ piles, constructed within the slip/failure zone. Following the placing of piles, and pile cap, embankment reconstruction works will take place to restore the road pavement and embankment.

The successful Tenderer will provide construction and engineering advice on the constructability of the proposed design, the construction program, and the staging of works. A detailed construction program and procedure, including details of the plant/equipment used on the works, will be required to be submitted with the Tenderer's Offer.

Scope and Timing Details Scope of this subcontract works includes:

• Scope of works: installation of 47 piles as per drawings and schedule, including liners and certification of pile capacity. Removal of existing rock trench (refer to project drawings)

• The current design has ~21.35m piles.

• Tender is responsible for the construction and removal of the piling rig pad as required. An existing access track is available, if any additional works are required this will be the tenderers responsibility.

• Tenderer's should consider the constructability of piling with regard to the slipped embankment.

• The Tenderer is to submit with the Tender, a detailed construction works program outlining the critical path and milestones, and construction procedures including details of the plant/equipment. The anticipated commencement date for this work is ASAP thereafter pending subcontractor availability and contract approval processes. The Date for Practical Completion of these subcontract works is 45 business days.

• RoadTek will be on site at 11:30am on Thursday the 21st of May to meet with Tenderers and discuss any queries. This site visit is mandatory to submit a conforming Tender. Please contact myself (Suj Manoharan) on 0459 891 708 to RSVP.

• In submitting the Tender, the Tenderer shall be deemed to have inspected the site, to have assessed the physical conditions of the site and to have allowed for such conditions in the offer. The Tenderer is invited to examine the information relevant to the site which is listed in Part 6 and Part 7. The Tenderer will be deemed to have examined all of this Information before the Tender is submitted. The Tenderer must consider the Information using their own knowledge.

• All temporary and permanent works must be considered and detailed in the program.
