Soundproof insulation works to external walls and recladding work Dadswells Bridge Public Hall

⁠⁠⁠The Horsham Rural City Council (Council) invites suitably qualified contractors to submit a quotation for the replacement of external weatherproof wall cladding to a standard compliant with bushfire rating requirements, installation of acoustic treatment to reduce traffic noise, and repainting of all external walls.

For the weatherboards, Council’s preferred product is Hardie Linea 180mm wide weatherboards or an equivalent approved product.

For the acoustic treatment, Council prefers high-density acoustic sisalation insulation to the front and side walls of the building, and R1.5 insulation to the rear of the building.

For painting, preferred systems include Dulux Weathershield or Wattyl Solargard in a semi-gloss finish. Final colour selection will be confirmed at a later stage.

Council also intends to replace the existing windows with double-glazed windows to improve sound insulation performance. Separate pricing is to be provided for the window upgrade work, with a preference for aluminium frames, timber/MDF reveals, internal architraves, and tinted thermal-block glazing.

The quotation must clearly itemise and provide specifications for:

• Weatherboards
• High-density acoustic sisalation insulation
• External wall painting works, including number of coats and paint types in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications
• Double-glazed window replacement with aluminium frames
• Implementation of appropriate site barricading and traffic management measures for the duration of the works
• Any additional associated costs

The quotation should also include provisions for:

• The use of a scissor lift, if required
• Pricing schedule for the replacement of damaged weatherboards if required

All works are to be carried out in accordance with relevant standards and best industry practices. The submission should outline

• Full installation details (a step-by-step method of application and paint specification)
• Compliance with manufacturer guidelines

RFQ's must be uploaded to the e-Portal on Council’s website in one zipped folder
