Overview
The Shire of Waroona is seeking a suitably experienced civil contractor to construct a 1.3km walk and cycle trail along Weir Rd Waroona, connecting the town with recreational facilities at Drakesbrook Weir.
Scope
The scope includes:
- Construction of a 1.3km walk and cycle trail along Weir Rd Waroona, connecting the town with recreational facilities at Drakesbrook Weir
- Construction of a compacted gravel trail varying in width from 1.5m to 2.5m along Weir Rd, meandering between trees along the road verge
- An optional (separable portion) asphalt seal
- Upgrading approximately 130m of existing open drains to piped drainage to enable construction of the trail
- Protection and retention of verge trees during construction
Contractor Requirements
- Suitably experienced civil contractor
- Consideration of the most appropriate plant and equipment for construction of the trail in conditions constrained by terrain and vegetation
