YVW’s existing sludge and general waste management contract is due to expire in August 2026. This contract has successfully provided waste removal and disposal for YVW’s STPs since 2016. The successful implementation of this contract will support the health and wellbeing of our customers, and create a brighter future for communities and the natural environment.
The Work Under Contract (WUC) will involve the pick-up, removal and appropriate disposal of grit, screening and general waste from YVW STPs located throughout the service area, as well as the facilitation of thickened sludge trucking between Upper Yarra and Brushy Creek STPs. The contract will also include an Ad Hoc scope item whereby works falling within the remit of sludge and general waste disposal but outside of what is considered routine can be quoted and completed under this contract.
