Horizons Regional Council (Horizons) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified suppliers (Prospective Suppliers) who are interested in undertaking detailed design for the Pharazyn Road Floodgate in Feilding.
A detailed design of this key piece of infrastructure is part of a wider project to raise the height of stopbanks of the Reid Line Spillway which provides flood protection to Feilding.
The Pharazyn Road Floodgate is a key piece of spillway infrastructure that closes a gap in the stopbank during spillway operations.
An upgraded or replacement floodgate is required at this location to accommodate an approximate 0.6m increase in the design level. Based on the existing road crest height this equates to an upgraded or replacement structure with an approximate height of 1.7m.
