Waratah-Wynyard Council – HVAC Upgrade – Wynyard Chambers Office Building

⁠⁠⁠The Waratah-Wynyard Council is seeking tenders from experienced Specialised HVAC-R or suitably qualified Commercial Mechanical contractors or similar organisations to upgrade the HVAC system in the Wynyard Council Chambers Building.

The works comprise the full delivery of new mechanical services and associated building systems, including the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of HVAC plant and controls to serve the building's ground and first floors. This includes new VRF and outdoor air systems, a complete building management and control system, associated electrical infrastructure, and all required ancillary components to ensure a fully functional and integrated installation.

The scope also encompasses demolition and removal of redundant systems, modification and reinstatement of existing services and building elements, and all necessary builders' works to support the installation. The Contractor is responsible for coordination with relevant parties, system commissioning, documentation, and maintenance during construction and the defects liability period, ensuring the completed systems are safe, compliant, and operate as intended.

SUBMISSIONS: Completed responses must be submitted to the Electronic Tender Box. Respondents will receive a Successful Submission Receipt, timed and dated upon completion. 

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 2:00 PM AEST on Wednesday, 3rd June 2026 and submissions must be fully received by this time. Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Council staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal or emailed proposals will not be accepted.

PRE-TENDER BRIEFING:

A pre-Tender briefing session will be held at: Council Offices, 21 Saunders St. Wynyard, on Monday, 18th May 2026 at 10:00am.

Tenderers shall advise the Contact Officer by email of their intention to attend no later than COB on Wednesday, 13th May 2026.
