Te Puwaha - South Spit Upgrades

⁠⁠⁠The works site is located on the Eastern side of Whanganui South Spit on the TLB and is accessed from the end of Airport Road, via a well-used track through the sand dunes.

The Contract Works principally comprise of rock revetments, toe protection, and groynes in accordance with the Drawings and these Specifications. The work includes but is not limited to:

1. Rock revetments including subgrade preparation, geotextile underlay and armouring.
2. Rock toe protection of the existing concrete block wall including subgrade preparation, geotextile underlay and armouring.
3. Rock armour groynes including the extension of existing and construction of new groynes.
4. General earthworks associated with construction of the access track, placement of sand, and subgrade preparation.
