Tender Description

The supply and delivery of dog feed / dog food

Project goals

This Request for Tender (RFT) is issued by the NSW Police Force (NSWPF) to identify suppliers that can supply and deliver dog food to nominated NSWPF locations in line with required specifications.

The objective of this RFT is to appoint a preferred supplier and a backup supplier. NSWPF intends to enter into standing order agreements for an initial five year term, with options to extend for a further three years and an additional two years at NSWPF’s discretion.

Where required, NSWPF may engage additional suppliers to ensure supply continuity, value for money, and effective delivery, including in regional areas. These suppliers may be engaged under alternative arrangements such as letters of engagement or NSWPF Purchase Order terms and conditions.

All supplier arrangements will be non exclusive.

Scope

The NSW Police Force Dog Command has identified ten dog food types required for supply and delivery to NSWPF locations.

Respondents are invited to nominate their most suitable product for each category listed below.

  2. Adult Maintenance Diet – Complete and balanced dry pellet for adult dogs of all breeds.
  3. Puppy Growth Diet – Complete and balanced dry pellet for puppies up to 15 months of age.
  4. Labrador Diet – Dry pellet with a dense biscuit suitable for training rewards and maintaining optimal weight.
  5. Sensitive Gut Diet – Dry pellet formulated for dogs with allergies or gastrointestinal sensitivities.
  6. Skin Support Diet – Dry pellet designed to support dogs with skin conditions.
  7. Urinary Care Diet – Veterinary prescribed dry pellet diet for urinary health issues.
  8. Dental Health Diet – Dry pellet formulated to support dental and gum health.
  9. Gastrointestinal Dry Diet – Bland dry pellet suitable for dogs experiencing vomiting or diarrhoea.
  10. Gastrointestinal Wet Diet – Wet food equivalent of the gastrointestinal diet.

Where available, respondents may also propose optional additional products for consideration, including natural chew treats and supplementary veterinary products.
