Little Wanganui Deck Replacement & Guardrail Upgrades

⁠⁠⁠Little Wanganui Bridge is situated on the Karamea Highway, Special Purpose Road, which is a key arterial route from Westport through to the Karamea township in the Buller region. This RFT is a measure and value contract for the deck replacement and upgrade of edge protection to the Little Wanganui Bridge. The designed deck replacement utilises a staged installation of NiuDeck panels including surfacing, holing, recessing, supply and installation of fixings and packers and re-fixing of prescribed utilities currently attached to both upstream and downstream sides of the bridge. Work includes a new W-beam guardrail system on bridge and approaches. Temporary Traffic control and the use of night time road closures are specified as there is no alternative route available.
