Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to deliver Consultancy Services - Moama WWTP Irrigation Stage 1a – Detailed Design.
Background information / Compatibility requirements
The Moama Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) has been identified as requiring upgrade to accommodate current inflows and projected future growth. Funding was secured to undertake an options study and Concept Design, which is complete. The upgrades are planned for implementation via a staged program of upgrades over a number of years.
The highest priority initiative is the development of an agricultural irrigation area on Council-owned land located north and west of the existing WWTP, defined as;
• Stage 1a (Phase 1): Preparation of a Detailed Design for agricultural irrigation of 97 hectares (approx.) of Council-owned land adjacent to the existing Sewerage Treatment Plant.
• Stage 1a (Phase 1): Construction of 57 hectares (approx.) of irrigation area
