Expression of Interest (EOI): Provision of Arborist and Tree Service

⁠⁠⁠The University seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced providers (“Suppliers”) capable of delivering safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible arborist and tree services across its campuses.

The University invites EOIs from suppliers with proven experience operating within complex, multi-site environments for the provision of arborist and tree services to support its facilities and student experience objectives. The University is committed to establishing a collaborative relationship with a supplier that demonstrates a strong track record of innovation and continuous improvement, underpinned by robust governance arrangements, effective supervision, and responsiveness to emerging risks.

Suppliers must demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability, including environmentally responsible practices, ethical sourcing, and minimising environmental impacts through proactive planning and service delivery. This includes the capability to identify, manage, and mitigate environmental risks, support biodiversity and fauna protection, and contribute to the University’s broader sustainability objectives. Consistent delivery of service excellence and measurable value throughout the life of the contract is essential.

The scope of services encompasses a range of arborist and tree services essential to supporting the University’s operational and safety needs. These include arborist operations, emergency and storm response, tree removal and site reinstatement, environmental and fauna/koala management, reporting, and maintenance of digital records. The scope also covers tree planting and establishment as required.

This EOI is the first stage of a two-stage procurement process. Shortlisted respondents will be invited to participate in a subsequent Invitation to Offer (ITO) process.

The supplier must demonstrate the capability to operate in complex tertiary environments where public safety, environmental protection and operational continuity are critical.

All services must be delivered in accordance with relevant Queensland and Commonwealth legislation, University policies and site-specific requirements.
