Supply and Delivery of Three Loaders - Fleet #8248, #8249, #8250

⁠⁠⁠Cairns Regional Council is seeking to purchase loaders. Loaders are operated across the Council region, primarily at waste transfer stations and recycling facilities. They are used to handle and transport a variety of materials, including general domestic waste, green waste, scrap metal, and construction and demolition debris.

The new large wheel loaders will replace existing older models with newer models:

- Fleet number 8248 (replacing fleet number 8199);

- Fleet number 8249 (replacing fleet number 8200); and

- Fleet number 8250 (replacing fleet number 8187).

Council reserves the right to procure the supply and delivery of one or more loaders from a single supplier or each loader from a different Supplier..

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading the submission, using the response forms within the tender documentation.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Closing Date and Time: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Tuesday 19 May 2026 (unless extended, check new Closing Date and Time). Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Council's sole discretion.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.

Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in the tender specifications.

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 120 days from the Closing Time.
