Manhole Rehabilitation Program

⁠⁠⁠Cairns Regional Council (Council) has an annual capital works program which includes the inspection of the sewer reticulation system by Councils Utility Services team to identify gravity sewer manholes that require some form of refurbishment.

The identified refurbishment works may include some or all of the following:

- Provision of bypassing services (as required);

- Patching and repairs to manhole walls;

- Repairs to the manhole benching;

- Repairs to the manhole channels;

- Sealing points of infiltration;

 - Application of a lining system/coating system.

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close five days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, 06 May 2026. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders may not be accepted and will be subject to Councils sole discretion.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.
