Lease of Jarrah Street Industrial Lots

⁠⁠⁠PART 1 – INTRODUCTION

Noosa Shire Council (Council) invites expressions of interest (EOI) pursuant to section 228(2)(b) of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (Qld) (LG Reg) to consider the disposal of land described as 25-29 Jarrah Street, Cooroy (the Land) via a lease, and as described in more detail in Part 4 – Scope.

Summary

The Land is zoned as Low Impact Industrial and therefore presents an opportunity for Council to attract investment and support economic growth in alignment with the Noosa Council Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030. This Procurement Process aims to identify Respondents capable of contributing to Council’s objectives for economic growth and sustainability.

Respondents will be required to demonstrate how their proposed use of the Land will generate economic benefits consistent with the objectives of the Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030.

Respondents will be requested to demonstrate:

• a clear ability to deliver objectives such as economic diversification, high-value job creation, local job creation, engage with regional suppliers and promote sustainable practices;

• potential for innovation, export opportunities and alignment with Council’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

The Respondent must inform itself of risks to health and safety arising from attendance at the briefing or site inspection and take all reasonable steps to ensure that such risks are eliminated or, if it is not possible to eliminate them, to minimise them so far as is practicable.
