Provision of Septic Tank Desludging Services for the Riverland Region (DCLW, RPC & BBC)

⁠⁠⁠The District Council of Loxton Waikerie, Renmark Paringa Council, and Berri Barmera Council are located within the Riverland region of South Australia.

The Councils are responsible for the management and maintenance of essential community infrastructure, including septic tank systems servicing township, rural, residential, and commercial properties. These systems are critical to protecting public health and ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance across dispersed communities.

The Councils are seeking to engage suitably qualified and experienced Tenderer(s) for the provision of Septic Tank Desludging Services. The Councils may appoint a single Contractor for all regions or multiple Contractors on a regional basis, depending on the outcome of the evaluation process.

Each Council will enter into a separate Agreement for Services with the successful Tenderer.

Scope of Services

The Services include the provision of all labour, plant, equipment, transport, and disposal facilities necessary to undertake septic tank desludging operations across the Councils’ respective areas.

Without limitation, the Services include:

• Inspection, pumping, and desludging of septic tanks;
• Transport, handling, and lawful disposal of waste at approved and licensed facilities;
• Compliance with all applicable environmental, WHS, and legislative requirements; and
• Provision of accurate service records, reporting, and documentation as required by the Councils.

Note: Desludging of pump chambers associated with Council-operated residential and commercial Community Wastewater Management Systems (CWMS) connections is not required at this time; however, these services may be requested by Council at a future date.

All Services must be undertaken in a safe, professional, and environmentally responsible manner, with appropriate consideration given to residents, businesses, and Council operations.

A briefing session will be held at Sturt Highway, opposite the Riverland Field Days Site, Barmera, South Australia, Australia, 5344 on 9:30 am 29 April 2026.

Notes: Mandatory Site Industry Briefing Sessions will be conducted across all three (3) Council desludging sites on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, as follows:
