Server and Storage Replacement

⁠⁠⁠The City of Tea Tree Gully (Council) invites tenders for the supply of server and storage infrastructure (the Services). The Council intends to enter into a Contract for the Services with the successful Tenderer.

The current server based storage and compute infrastructure at Council has been in place since the last server refresh project in 2018-19. This infrastructure has provided excellent service, but it is past its intended 5-year service life and is now due for replacement.

The new solution will service the Council for the next 5 years. Important objectives of this solution include:

• A vendor agnostic hypervisor solution.
• Easy administration.
• Utilise Microsoft datacentre licencing.
• Simple storage expansion abilities.
• A cost-effective solution.

Server and storage infrastructure to be included in this request for tender include:

• Physical servers located and Civic Centre and the Service Centre.
• Physical server storage.
• Virtual storage.
• Backup infrastructure
• Networking

The server and storage infrastructure uses top of rack switches at Civic and Service Centres. These are not due for refresh until 2029/30, but are in scope because the new solution might require them to be replaced to meet the requirements of newer equipment.

Council will enter into a goods and services contract with the selected supplier.
