Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA) are seeking tender responses for the construction of (new) Berth 1 and Tug Harbour floating jetty. This tender is part of the Geraldton Port Maximisation Project (PMaxP).
The Scope of Works encompasses the supply, installation and commissioning of all the specified civil, structural, piping, and electrical works to construct and commission the new Berth 1 and Tug Harbour Floating Jetty.
The key work areas are summarised as follows:
Berth 1
- Demolition of existing assets and redundant services
- Enabling and bulk earthworks
- Seawall and rock revetment works
- New access causeway
- Civil works (e.g. pavement and drainage etc)
- New berth structure (e.g. pile, headstocks, deck, anchorage etc)
- Piled mooring frame and access catwalk
- Onshore mooring block
- Wharf furniture and equipment (e.g. fenders, bollards, capstans, etc)
- Cathodic protection
- Services (water, electrical, communications)
Tug Harbour floating jetty abutment works
- Piling and jacket frame
- Floating jetty structures
- Access gangways
- Jetty furniture and equipment (fenders, bollard, ladders etc)
- Cathodic protection
- Services (water, electrical)
The Contractor will be responsible for all personnel, equipment, materials, facilities and services to complete the works in accordance with the Scope of Work (except for Principal supplied quarry materials and marine piles).
MWPA is seeking an experienced marine and breakwater construction contractor to undertake construction works associated with this package.
To be considered eligible to tender, the following pre-requisites apply
- Has your company successfully completed major marine infrastructure projects (i.e. breakwaters, seawalls, marine piling, jetty construction, etc.) circa $50M in the past 3-5 years?
- Does your company have access to suitable marine construction plant, labour and equipment in 2026/2027 (e.g. supervision, piling equipment, rock placement equipment, etc.)?
If you meet the above pre-requisites, complete and return the Acknowledgment Form by 4pm Tuesday 28 April 2026 to receive access to the full tender pack.
A mandatory site briefing will be held at 11am Thursday 30 April 2026 for eligible suppliers, with tender submissions to be lodged by 3pm Tuesday 26 May 2026.
