Replacement of 17 Acre Creek Bridge on Wielangta Road, Rheban

⁠⁠⁠Glamorgan Spring Bay Council invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit tenders for the design and construction of a replacement bridge at 17 Acre Creek on Wielangta Road.

The project involves the removal and disposal of the existing timber bridge and the design and construction of a new dual-lane bridge structure in accordance with AS5100:2017 and relevant Department of State Growth standards.

The Works include, but are not limited to:

• Design, certification and independent proof checking
• Demolition and removal of the existing bridge structure
• Construction of new bridge substructure and superstructure
• Installation of barriers, wingwalls and scour protection
• Environmental management and site rehabilitation
• Provision of as-constructed documentation

The existing bridge is a critical access route for local residents, tourism and freight, and the successful contractor will be required to minimise construction duration and environmental impacts.
