IP Australia is seeking to engage an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Programme and Delivery Manager to lead delivery of the IP Australia’s ERP Modernisation Programme.
Purpose
The role will work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and our contracted Delivery Partner, with accountability for establishing and managing a multi-year, multi-wave ERP programme in line with the recently endorsed IP Australia ERP Strategy and Roadmap. This includes a core SAP S/4HANA uplift, plus associated foundational and edge system modernisation efforts.
Role description
The role operates within an established governance model, with the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) being the Chief Financial Officer, and works closely with Technology Delivery teams, Finance, Procurement, Learning and Development, People and Capability, Enterprise Architecture, IT Security, and external delivery partners.
Context
IP Australia is undertaking a staged ERP Modernisation Programme to address end-of-life risks associated with SAP ECC, reduce reliance on manual ERP processes, and improve financial, procurement, HR and reporting capability.
The programme is structured into sequential waves (Wave 0–3), balancing risk reduction, operational continuity, and value realisation.
The ERP Programme and Delivery Manager is required to establish disciplined programme delivery from commencement, ensuring strong governance, realistic planning, and effective coordination across internal teams and vendors.
