Healthy North Coast (HNC) is inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver a region wide initiative Strengthening After Hours and Emergency Response Planning in Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs) across the North Coast, NSW.
The EOI must be submitted by the EOI Closing Time of 5:00pm, 30 April 2026.
Program details
The successful provider will deliver a coordinated program of tailored support to all 78 RACHs in the HNC region, working across both streams of work;
Stream 1: After Hours Care Planning
Stream 2: Emergency Management Planning
This includes reviewing existing after hours and emergency management plans, engaging directly with each RACH to assess strengths and gaps, and supporting the development or strengthening of practical, actionable plans while building local capability.
Industry Briefing
An EOI Briefing Session for participants will be held at 1:00pm 16 April 2026.
The purpose of this session is to brief participants on aspects of the EOI process, clarify elements of the EOI documents and respond to any enquiries.

Objectives
- To strengthen the capability and confidence of Residential Aged Care Homes to care for residents at home after-hours or in emergency situations safely and effectively.
- To improve the consistency, quality, and sustainability of after-hours and emergency planning across the Healthy North Coast footprint.
- To support the embedding of practical, actionable after-hours and emergency plans into routine practice within RACHs.
- To generate region-wide insights on after-hours care and emergency preparedness to inform future commissioning, system planning, and targeted support.
