Scope of Works
The electrical services installation shall conform to the requirements of all applicable legislation, codes of practice and guidance publications relevant to the state of Queensland. All works to be undertaken in accordance with the NCC, Queensland Health requirements, local authority requirements, and relevant Australian Standards.
This project entails the replacement of the existing RM7 11kV Ring Main unit located in Building 15 at The Prince Charles Hospital.
The works have several elements, which are to be priced separately in order that Metro North Health can make an informed decision regarding which elements (if not all) proceed.
The 3 key work elements include:
▪ The primary objective is to replace the existing Lucy 11kV ring main unit, RM7, located in Sub 07 within Building 15. This ring main unit is not able to be operated whilst energised and represents a risk to the continued operation of the Hospital. This ring main unit is to be replaced with a new 11kV ring main unit which meet Metro North Health’s required functional objectives regarding metering, monitoring, remote control and sustainability objectives;
▪ Within Sub 07, the existing 1500kVA oil filled transformer TR7 currently lacks appropriate protection on the LV cable termination and would not meet the Basic Protection requirements of AS3000. The transformer is of 1985 construction and FG Wilson make
