Key Workers Accommodations Program - Design and Construct

⁠⁠⁠The Shire of East Pilbara (Shire or SOEP) is one of four local government areas in Western Australia's remote Pilbara region. Spanning across 372,571 square kilometres, the Shire holds the distinction of being the largest Shire in all of Australia. The principal towns within the Shire are Newman, Marble Bar, and Nullagine.

There is currently insufficient key workers accommodation for the Shire to access with the existing housing portfolio being oversubscribed. The introduction of new services/capability (e.g. Nullagine Aquatic Centre) and increased investment in the wider Shire's asset base has resulted in a larger workforce (and supporting Contractors), which has exacerbated the housing situation further. The SOEP Key Workers' Accommodation Program has been established to address the following critical business needs:

- Two individual modular units to provide long-term accommodation for key workers in Nullagine for two (2) families.

- Two individual modular units to provide long-term accommodation for key workers in Marble Bar for two (2) families.

- Three (3) modular units, each divided into two separate single dwelling units, will provide short-term accommodation in Newman for six (6) key workers.
