Request for Expressions of Interest - Barcaldine Regional Council Emergency Works 2026

Barcaldine Regional Council (BRC) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake emergency works across the Council region.

This EOI relates to damage caused by the event:

Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji and Severe Weather commencing 24 December 2025.

Council is seeking to establish a panel of contractors to deliver works under disaster recovery programs, including those funded under relevant State and Commonwealth arrangements.

Scope:

The works comprise the provision of emergency response and temporary restoration activities to infrastructure impacted by flood events, in accordance with the requirements of the Queensland Reconstruction Authority.

Works are limited to those activities necessary to make assets safe, restore basic access, and prevent further damage, including but not limited to:

• traffic management;

• debris removal;

• temporary road and drainage repairs;

• erosion and scour protection;

• light formation grading to temporarily repair, make safe and improve access on roads until permanent reconstructions works can commence.

All treatments are to be temporary in nature and suitable for rapid delivery, with permanent reconstruction works excluded.
