Upgrade Of The Nyirripi Eastside Playground

⁠⁠⁠Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) is seeking suitably qualified contractors to upgrade the Nyirripi Eastside Playground, located approximately 443 km from Alice Springs. The project aims to enhance local recreational facilities and create a safe, engaging environment for residents.

The works include the installation of new play equipment (supplied by CDRC), seating, construction of shade structures, construction of a BBQ unit, installation of BBQ furniture, fencing, soft fall surfacing, concrete kerbing, and associated site preparation. Contractors will be responsible for the design, supply, installation, transport, mobilisation, and all required permits and certifications, including Structural Section 40 documentation. All works must comply with relevant Australian Standards, WHS requirements, and manufacturer specifications.

Key components of the project include,

• Installation of new playground equipment with compliant soft fall surfacing
• Design and construction of shade structures for both the play area and BBQ area
• Construction of fixed masonry wood-fired BBQ unit
• Installation of BBQ furniture, seating, and park bins (equipment supplied by CDRC)
• Supply and installation of child safe perimeter fencing and gate
• Construction of concrete kerbing and slab works
• Site preparation and disposal of demolition materials

Contractors must provide photographic evidence of construction stages and ensure all materials, workmanship, and safety measures meet required standards.
